This is not much of a "banana peel" story...BUT I saved a turtle last week. He was on a busy road. I pulled into someone's driveway, left my car door open, and ran to the rescue. I got the little guy and he seemed kinda out of it. He was covered in lake film. I think he had been in the woods for a while. I ran back to my car. By then, the owner of the house was walking towards my car! Oops! I held up the turtle, smiled really big, and said, "I'm just savin' a little turtle." Fortunately, he bought my story and off we went! There is a boat landing close by. I plopped him in the lake water and off he went. It brought me joy saving that little guy's life! :)

It doesn't take much to injure myself anymore!!!!!!! Last Thanksgiving, my family was in the backyard playing tag football. It is now May and my shoulder has not healed from throwing the football too far. Really! It is now May and my knee has not healed from merely stepping in a "funny" way. Really! I have had to give up my running career, my kickboxing hobby, and my Mud Run adventure because my knee can't handle when I take a step!
